Summer Theatre Seminar

 from July 5^th. to 9^th.

We offer students and theatre artists a week long seminar on Spanish classical theatre. It takes place in a city that has one of the very few 17th. Century theatres in Europe:  "un Corral de Comedias".

Almagro, which is the name of the city, is only a few kilometres away from Madrid, and the seminar is organized by The Universidad de Castilla la Mancha, one of the major universities in Madrid, with which we work in partnership. It is part of a one month Classical Theatre Festival and there are about 25 different professional companies coming from all over Europe. The seminar includes tickets to two different shows, visits to the 17^th. century theatre and other historical buildings, as well as participating in question and discussion groups with some of the companies performing in the festival.

There will be two introductory sessions on Spanish classical theatre at the Aslan centre the two previous days of the seminar. The university offers credits to those attending. It is also a great opportunity for us as Christians to get in contact with the non-Christians in the theatre world, in a pre-evangelistic kind of work.

We will organize accommodation, transport and orientation.
